For a first while, I worked on the portrait and the nude. I felt how I needed to escape from the subject. Then I changed for informal works.
Each piece of work is for me an adventure : I throw the first paintbrush strokes as if I were throwing dices, then I balance the lines, the volumes and the colours by keeping a theme : mainly the one of Nature or rather more the Spirit of Nature which might be guessed in the painting.
During an exhibition, someone told me :"your works are mysteries in which I can find myself". It remains one of the nicest compliment I have ever been addressed, because it perfectly sums up what I aim to achieve in my works : Might everyone find their secret elsewhere.
